Thanks to regular reporting from Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS, we are able to provide some interesting housing statistics for 2019.

“Comparing 2018 numbers to 2019, Talbot had an increase in the average sold price of the home by 10.9% and an increase of 12.8% of the median sold price. It took 17 fewer days on average to sell a home in 2019 compared to 2018. Talbot County saw a drop of 30 fewer homes sold for the year in 2019 compared to 2018.

Comparing 2018 numbers to 2019, Easton saw a 15% increase in the average sold price of the home and an increase of 8 % of the median sold price of the homes.  It took 17 fewer days on average to sell a home in 2019 compared to 2018.  Easton also saw 30 fewer homes sold for the year in 2019 compared to 2018.

Normally December is a slower month with the holidays, but December 2019 was a busy month for real estate with 50 homes sold.

  • Comparing Dec 2018 numbers to Dec 2019, Talbot County saw an increase in the number of homes sold and an increase in the average sold price and the median sold price. Homes took longer in December of 2019 than in December of 2018 by 35 days.
  • Comparing Dec 2018 numbers to Dec 2019, Easton saw an increase in the number of homes sold, an increase in the average sold price and an increase in the median sold price.  Homes sold slower by 22 days in December of 2019 compared to December of 2018.
