A Minute With Mayor Willey

As we try to keep cool, exciting events continue in Easton. The Plein Air Festival, as always, drew a large and enthusiastic crowd. When all is said and done, the Festival will again be a success. Take note of the work being done on the Rails to Trails leg from Aurora Street to Rt. 322. We expect to finish this section later this fall. As with many good times, we also experience some sad ones. We mourn the passing of Robert Johnson from Lu-Ev, a stalwart longtime friend for many years.

Add August 2nd on your calendar for National Night Out. Starting at 5 P.M. join the Easton Police Department for music, food, and fun at Moton Park. This is a great reminder that all of us can come together to rally for safe neighborhoods and streets, while having a great time. While you have the calendar out, Easton Night out is Friday August 5th. As it’s been in the past, it’s a night for exploring downtown, while enjoying the music and entertainment.
See you next month when we should be deep into the promised road paving and repairs. Enjoy the summer!
