Town of Easton

The effort to update Easton’s Zoning Ordinance continues with the Planning Commission and staff discussing a variety of issues they would like to address at both regular monthly meetings and special workshop sessions.  Recently, the Commission outlined a schedule for the next three month’s effort on this project.

The Commission established the following dates and topics for upcoming meetings on various portions of the Zoning Ordinance:

·         August 15, 2019 – Continued discussion of a revised Planned Unit Development Article

·         September (date TBD) – Public Hearing on proposed revised PUD and Sign Articles

·         October 17, 2019 – Review of various Staff-suggested administrative/housekeeping changes and requests for rezoning of property

Depending on the scope and scale of the issues remaining to be addressed following these next three meetings, the Commission is hopeful of being able to direct staff in the production of a complete revised Zoning Ordinance at that time.  They will then review this revised Ordinance as a whole and schedule a Public Hearing on it, before making final recommendations and forwarding to the Mayor and Town Council for their review and consideration.
