Naima Ventures recently had their first kickoff meeting for the new Naima Ventures, LLC, JACK Construction and Polaris Village Ministries (PVM) for a 2.5-acre project to be located between Jowite and Clay Streets in Easton, MD. Pending Town of Easton plan approvals, the new housing development will provide one, two and three-bedroom rental apartments, totaling 56 units, some with ADA accessibility. Naima Venture’s goal is to provide affordable workforce housing, with a focus on teachers and first responders. Naima Ventures will be pricing all units at market rates. Polaris Village Ministries, a partner organization, will be offering rent assistance to qualified applicants.
RAUCH inc. is proud to collaborate with Naima Ventures, providing project consulting and design services including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, survey, and environmental assistance for this important community housing project. Architectural plans are underway for this phased development, with construction planning in 2021. Square footages for these single-story one, two- and three-bedroom quad units ranges from 600-1100 sf.
RAUCH inc. will also be providing pro-bono architectural and engineering services for the renovation and restoration of the 209 Port Street former site of the Mt. Pisgah Church. Purchased by Polaris Village Ministries, it is PVM’s intent to renovate the building as a place of worship and provide classrooms for Polaris Village
Academy. The Church dates to the early 1900s and has a rich history with area families.
