High Tea, Floats and Potato Races mark St. Pat’s Day

The Easton Business Alliance will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday, March 17 with its annual parade, followed by the fan favorite Potato Race on Washington Street. Before the parade, enjoy a cup of tea at the Academy Art Museum’s afternoon tea service.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Brewers Lane and Harrison Street, will feature more than 40 floats, bands and classic cars. Many local businesses will showcase their Irish spirit and design talents by decorating golf carts from Hog Neck Golf Course.

Young Professionals of Talbot County host the annual Potato Race immediately following the parade. Watch as relay teams race down Washington Street passing potatoes balanced on spoons to their teammates.
