An innovative statewide public/private initiative, launched by Easton’s own Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center (ESEC), seeks to create a renaissance of economic growth and prosperity, building on Maryland’s industries of agriculture and seafood.  F³ Tech (Farm-Fish-Food) is a proof-of-concept and commercialization initiative enabling solutions through the development of new products and services in response to market-driven problems and challenges. This is accomplished through a series of programs that guide entrepreneurs from idea through commercialization.

Join investors, entrepreneurs, watermen, farmers, academics and service providers at F³ Tech’s third regional symposium, “Agriculture & Aquaculture: The Newest Emerging Technology Sector,” on Wednesday, November 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville.  “Advancements in agricultural and aquaculture technology are changing how we grow our food and manage its production, distribution, and consumption,” said Mike Thielke, ESEC Executive Director. “Agriculture and aquaculture technologies that increase yields, slash harvest times, reduce waste, and ultimately reduce costs and environmental impact are seeing quantum leaps thanks to the development of new and expanding businesses in this sector.”  Sessions at the symposium will include the presentation of aquaculture technology, data management and analytics, an investor panel session and the promise, profit, and pitfalls of agriculture technology.  https://f3tech.org/symposiums/
