AT&T Foundation Invests in Talbot County Students

Chesapeake Leadership Foundation was awarded a $17,000.00 grant in support of a STEM-based scholarship program and Business After School program.

Al Silverstein, Executive Director of the Chesapeake Leadership Foundation (an affiliate of the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce), was pleased to receive notification from AT&T Foundation that the Chesapeake Leadership Foundation was awarded a $17,000.00 grant.

The purpose of the grant is to support a STEM-based scholarship program and Business After School program where Talbot County public high school students have the opportunity to explore a variety of STEM-related careers by visiting different workplaces.

Through the AT&T Aspire program, AT&T Foundation is investing in students today – at home, in the classroom, at work – to prepare them for success tomorrow.

The Talbot County Chamber of Commerce Partners In Education Committee, along with Talbot County Public Schools and Chesapeake College will facilitate the program in the first quarter of 2020.

The Chesapeake Leadership Foundation greatly appreciates Denis P. Dunn AT&T State President for Maryland, Washington D.C. and Delaware for his assistance in securing this grant.
