On Friday at 5 p.m., I suspended the restrictions to outdoor cafe dining. This is consistent with Governor Hogan’s orders and the recommendations of the CDC. As a result, our restaurants have begun opening for outside dining.
Over the past weeks, the Town of Easton, the Easton Economic Development Corporation and Discover Easton have been working with stakeholders to determine how we can safely re-open our downtown retail shops and restaurants. At the same time, we will be working with restaurants and retailers outside of the downtown to restart their business. As plans unfold, we will keep you updated.
Over the coming weeks, we anticipate being able to expand the outdoor dining capacity of our Downtown while also adding other enlivening elements to our downtown such as street music.
So put on your sunblock, walking shoes and mask and join us downtown.
