Chesapeake Fire & Ice returns in 2022 for its 2nd year!

Located in historic downtown Easton, the event features dozens of artfully crafted ice sculptures, music, and family-friendly activities. This winter event brought to town an estimated 8,000 people over the course of two days.

 

This year’s event kicks off on Friday, February 18th with the Friday night block party. Ice Lab and their team of ice artists will be here doing live carvings. The festivities continue through Saturday with opportunities to tour the ice sculptures and see additional live carvings. Events will include family fun events, Stews & Brews, entertainment, seasonal sales and shopping, restaurant specials, and more!

Beat the Winter Blues in Downtown Easton!

Friday, February 18th:

 

Block party from 5 pm - 9 pm! 

 

Live music from 5 pm till 8 pm featuring Get in the Van in front of the Talbot County Courthouse and Sam Pugh on  South Harrison Street in front of the Visitor's Center! Anna Burgess will also perform in front of Roma Pizza from 5 pm to 8 pm!

 

Witness live ice carvings between 5 pm and 9 pm!

 

Stop by the Academy Art Museum to try your hand at ice carving! There will be an ice graffiti wall in the museum courtyard along with an offering of delicious products from Lyon Rum. Express yourself and take a look at the cool exhibits the museum has to offer! Children must have a parent present to carve on the wall.

 

Be sure to stop by Dragonfly during the weekend! They will be serving hot toddies and snowflake cookies on the 18th and 19th from 3 pm to 6 pm!

 

Studio B Art Gallery will have a special artist meet & greet from 5 pm to 7:30 pm! Meet gallery owner Betty Huang and artist Bernard Dellario. Both will be talking about their new art, the 2022 competition season, and more!

 

Ice sculptures will be lit up at night for all to see!

Saturday, February 19th:

  

Enjoy live music that will be spread out across Downtown! New Legacy Blues will perform at the Talbot County Courthouse from 12 pm to 4 pm. Anna Burgess will be on South Harrison Street in front of the Visitor's Center starting at 1 pm, and Jayme Dingler will lend her voice to the fray at 12 pm at Chesapeake Blooms on North Harrison Street. Roma Pizza will have live music with Guthrie Matthews from 12 pm to 3 pm.

 

Live carvings will take place at 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm!

 

Stews and Brews will be at the Easton Volunteer Fire Department from 1 pm to 4 pm (tickets required).

 

Talbot County Humane's kissing booth will still be on 13 S Harrison Street throughout the day.

 

Warm up by the fire in the courtyard of Legal Assets and enjoy live performances from Black Dog Alley from 5pm to 8pm. Check out their ice bar, heated tent, as well as their amazing food and drinks!

 

Talbot County Free Library will have Story time for kids starting at 11 am (registration is suggested due to limited capacity). They will also host a screening of Pixar's Soul at 2 pm (limited capacity, first come, first served).

 

The Academy Art Museum will still have Lyon Rum and the ice grafitti wall in their courtyard!

 

The supremely talented Amy Helm will perform at the Avalon theatre at 7 pm. Snag your tickets here!
