Tap the Shore Combines Fundraising with Economic Activity

Just imagine – it’s a beautiful day, and you’re enjoying a glass of wine, or rum cocktail with your friends as you explore local hotspots on Maryland’s beautiful Eastern Shore. All day long you are treated to VIP tours and tastings, and you’re chauffeured around… now that sounds like the perfect summer Saturday, doesn’t it?

And, to top it off – you will have spent the day supporting a great cause.

Tap the Shore is a new, unique fundraiser debuting on the Mid-Shore on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Brought to you by The Arc Central Chesapeake Region, Tap the Shore ‘taps’ into the local food and craft beverage scene.

The day will start with breakfast at the historic Tidewater Inn in Easton, MD, before heading out on one of two routes: land (Chestertown) or sea (St. Michael’s). On each route, you will spend the day discovering new eateries and great local craft drinks. At the end of the day, you will meet up at the Academy Art Museum in Easton, MD, to indulge in our chef’s expertly prepared five-course dinner, featuring ingredients from each stop highlighted on the tour.

Tap the Shore will draw on audiences from the Western Shore to participate in the event. The Arc is engaging small businesses and regional tourism offices to highlight innovative craft artisans and family owned businesses in the region.  This is a win-win for small business and community involvement.

Tickets are $225 (Early-Bird pricing until January 7, 2020) each. All proceeds benefit The Arc Central Chesapeake Region, a local non-profit that provides services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Anne Arundel County and Maryland’s Eastern Shore. By participating in the event, you are helping The Arc to serve your neighbors with disabilities to live, work, and play where and how they choose.
