Easton Future Waterfront Gateway
Easton Point, Easton’s future waterfront gateway, marked a major milestone last week when Mayor Robert “Bob” Willey presented to elected officials and other leaders the Town’s plan to create a 20-acre waterfront park at Easton Point. This project would transition currently industrial and inactive space into a desirable public amenity. The new park will provide an open-space park for community members to enjoy nature, history and healthy activities along the new extensions of the Rails-to-Trails, including the recently completed walking bridge over the Tred Avon River. Envisioned in this plan is the creation of 3,000 feet of living shoreline, a new, well-designed boat ramp with public slips and a separate kayak launch for recreational watercrafts.
