Yesterday afternoon the National Main Street Center announced the HartBeat of Main Street Grant Program, a program for small businesses during reopening to receive grants of between $5,000 and $15,000 in partnership with The Hartford. The National Main Street Center will only accept 500 total applications, so we wanted to send this out to our downtown businesses as soon as possible. This is specifically for businesses with fewer than 20 employees based in historic downtowns.
Grant awards can be used for many expenses, including physical improvements, rent, payroll, professional services, public health expenses, or other operating expenses.
