Discover Easton to Hold Three Signature Events This Spring

EASTON, Md. – Celebrate the return of spring by joining Discover Easton at one of their three upcoming Signature Events.

On Saturday, April 13th from noon to 4 p.m., Eat Sprout and Discover Easton are teaming up for Farmer Appreciation Day. This new Signature Event is hosted at Eat Sprout (335 N. Aurora Street, Easton, MD) on Saturday, April 13 from noon to 4 p.m.  A dozen Mid-Shore farms will come to Easton so locals can meet the growers behind their favorite food at Easton restaurants and local markets. Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot will be making a special appearance in support of our local farms.

“Many of our Easton residents understand the importance of our farms, but many do not know how our local businesses are utilizing these ingredients,” Discover Easton Marketing & Events Coordinator Jeff Lankford said. “This event will give them an opportunity to learn more about the products and where to buy them to support our local businesses.”

Celebrate Easter weekend in downtown Easton at the Annual Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20. Over 5,000 eggs will be spread out on the Talbot County Courthouse grounds. Kids can enjoy free face painting and an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Many local businesses partners have donated special prizes to be hidden in select eggs this year. The anticipated start times are 10:00 a.m.: Infant–age 4 and 10:15 a.m.: Ages 5-10.

First Weekend in downtown Easton has returned, and the next event takes place May 3-5. Local businesses invite you to explore new shopping and dining experiences while enjoying new art exhibits in our Easton galleries. Our local merchants are excited to showcase our Eastern Shore hospitality as they theme May’s First Weekend around the beautiful flowers blooming on the Shore. Look for in-store specials, extended hours, new art exhibits, new fashion, menu specials, and more!
