Easton is an important cultural center of the Eastern Shore. Home to five art galleries within its downtown area, Easton is a popular destination that attracts visitors with unique exhibits and events. 717 Gallery is owned by nationally recognized artist, Louis Escobedo. The gallery provides a vibrant space for artists and art collectors to meet, learn, and chat.
Academy Art Museum
The Academy Art Museum features permanent and special exhibits, hosts live performances, and offers art instruction to youth and adults.
The Avalon Theater offers a packed calendar of musical and theater performances by nationally known artists, musicians, and actors.
Cottage Studio & Gallery
Cottage Studio & Gallery features fine art and crafts by Eastern Shore artists. Items include paintings, jewelry, sculpture, fiber art, baskets, and more.
South Street Art Gallery
Housed in a gracious Victorian home, South Street Gallery is a guild of professional artists. The gallery emphasizes Eastern Shore landscapes and wildlife created in a variety of mediums.

Plein Air Festival
This annual event is a plein air competition and arts festival that attracts visitors and artists from throughout the nation.
Easton’s signature event, the Waterfowl Festival attracts thousands of visitors each November. The event features nationally recognized artists, a decoy swap, dock dog competition, waterfowl artifacts, and many other demonstrations and exhibits. The event has raised over $5 million for conservation efforts.
Easton is a destination for fine dining enthusiasts. The town attracts top chefs from around the country who choose to establish their restaurants in Easton. These chefs capture the unique flavors of local farms and the Chesapeake Bay with their inventive dishes.Special events, such as the Eating Easton Food Tour, allow visitors to experience Easton’s food scene one taste and sip at a time.
