The Talbot County Chamber of Commerce has unveiled its new logo and branding under the direction of President and CEO, Amy Kreiner.
In a cooperative effort with local design firm Rockfish Media Group, Kreiner said recently, “The Chamber experienced several dramatic changes this past year, and we’re excited to move forward.”
Citing a quote by the inspirational author H. Jackson Brown, Jr, “When you can’t change the direction of the wind – adjust your sails,” Kreiner felt the time was right for the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce to “adjust our own sails and chart a new course.” She goes on to say, “Together, the Chamber and the Talbot business community have weathered the storm (referring to the pandemic). This new logo embodies hope, and the idea of brighter horizons ahead for us all.”
The new logo came from a desire to speak to an audience familiar with adapting to a changing world, influenced by the idea that boats represent motion, a journey, forward momentum. “In this case, the fleet are the members of the Chamber, the colors represent the diverse range of businesses and business people in our county, coming together to act as a unit, sharing common interests and goals,” said Haley Geller, Creative Director with Rockfish Media Group.
Kreiner described the logo and new direction of the Chamber as having a similar outlook, “I wanted the logo to feel upscale, reflect the Chesapeake Bay area and embody a philosophy that represents this new chapter of the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce- acting as a safe harbor where everyone is welcome to come together, network, engage and grow.”
Implementing the new logo across a wide range of digital platforms, Kreiner enlisted the assistance of Mary Bryan of Marketing House, who also updated the website to showcase the color schemes and branding.
“The new brand is dynamic, the colors are modern, yet timeless. It really represents a breath of fresh air and a new direction for the Chamber,” said Bryan, “Amy has so many great ideas, and it will be exciting to see them unfold.”
Amy Kreiner joined the Chamber as Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Special Events in the Fall of 2018, and was then elevated to Vice President of the Chamber at large in May of 2020. Prior to joining the Talbot County Chamber, Kreiner was the Executive Director for the Caroline County Chamber of Commerce.
Former President Alan Silverstein announced his retirement late last year, and Kreiner was appointed as the new President at the beginning of 2021.
“It is a hopeful time.” Kreiner concluded, “Like many of our member businesses, we have endured so much this past year. We are looking forward to new beginnings and expanding all of the ways the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce can and will be an integral part of the face of business in the future.”
